Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I looked in the Arizona Republic classifieds section and found an "Office/Clerical work" position looking for immediate hire. When I called it went to their voice messaging system claiming they weren't in the office or were on the other line. This was my first clue, as most companies have more than one line and will at least answer and put you on hold. They called me back about an hour later and we set up an interview time. I go to the interview and the hardest part about  it was finding the door. There were no signs, logos, nothing. At the interview I filled out a short questionnaire and was placed in a "waiting room." This room had about twenty chairs and a speaker, complete with cord hanging on the ground, and nothing else. About five minutes later I was taken to an office right around the corner and given a very brief interview. It was basically just about my work and leadership experience. Right away he claimed that only a handful of people were being brought back for a second interview and that I had made the cut. He did not take questions and didn't tell me a single thing about the company. At this point, I still didn't know the company name. He failed to mention that the second interview was a two hour process where about twenty people were sitting in a room of uncomfortable chairs that were to "make sure nobody falls asleep." While walking to the interview room there was another random speaker with the cord on the ground. The first portion of the interview was going over the company's history with the man who interviewed me, Neal. finally I learned their name: Executive Management, LLC. I thought that it was very vague, another clue. Their website is www.ExecutiveManagementLLC.com, which after going to is very vague, and poorly designed. The picture is taken from Tempe Town Lake, the building I was at is located about five miles south of that and was not anywhere near as nice. He then explains the way the company makes money and that they are a perfume knock-off sales company. Their perfumer's name is "Mark I can't even say or spell is has last name so I'm not going to try" and he is based in Ft. Lauderdale. The next portion involved bringing somebody else, who's name I didn't catch, in to discuss the qualifications they were looking for: great personality, hard working, very obvious, vague traits that anyone feels they can fit. Back to Neal and he explains the training process. After this is the pay scale, which starts off very low and on commission, but magically jumps after the ten-thirteen week training to low-ball $600 a week, up to $80k per year. This is also where I found out that I am applying for a middle-management position, of which I have no experience, I'm only 22. As soon as this is over, he calls in the other managers and they break up the group into smaller groups of 3 or so. My group was called first and included two other people. We were taken by the man who explained the qualifications, yet it was in the same office I had interviewed in with Neal. This office had four chairs, a desk, and another chair behind it. Nothing on the desk, no pens, business cards, computer, papers, or anything. He tells us that the three of us had gotten the job, despite their lack of actual interviews with us, again my original interview was shorter than five minutes. He asked us to come back in the next day for a couple hours to learn exactly what we would be doing. As I went home I felt like it was strange and that it was far too easy. I did research online and this company is known for promising training, then you will be given your own office to run, with your pick of location. They will even let you pick the layout, color of the carpet, and accessories. However, when you get to the meeting the next day, which will be unpaid, you find out that you are going to be selling perfume out of the trunk of the manager's car
