Entrepreneurs Sales door to door scam LaPorte Indiana
A nice young man knocked on my door, told me the company he represented Entrepreneuers Sales, an organization that helps train troubled individuals in sales. He said he had a troubled past and this is a program to help him turn his life arounD and get back on his feet. I sat with him for about 30 minutes and he seemed to be sincere so I wanted to help the guy.
He showed me if I ordered magazine subscriptions he would receive a portion of the money. I proceeded to select 3 magazine subscriptions, we filled out the contract and my total came to $190.00. I wrote a check and at the time I felt good about what I did, I thought I was helping this guy get a fresh start. After speaking to my wife we thought the cost was way too high for 3 magazines and after reading the contract it clearly says you can cancel the agreement within 3 business days of the sale.
I cancelled the sales agreement the very next day on 6/20/2018 according to the contract. I cancelled via mail and fax both just to cover my bases. I have made several phone calls to the number on my contract and have left messages with absolutely no return call. My check payment was cashed immediately and the contract says allow 4-6 weeks for refund and I haven’t received anything. No refund no magazines.
