This very large group of people came in late on Friday night and managed to convince my staff that 3 sites would be ample when a minimum of 6 sites should have been reserved for this large crowd of adults and all their children. Their noise carried on until 3:00 AM. They basically took over several additional sites for parking purposes and for their children to play. This was primarily because their tents and other belongings completely engulfed the 3 sites. There was merely no room except for on neighboring sites. They were warned twice about swimming only in the designated swim area as mandated by the NYS Health Department and to remain inside their boats when on the lake. They basically ignored every rule of the campground when it comes to noise, encroachment on other sites, swimming, and boating. When confronted about it, they would either cop an attitude, or tell you one thing and do the complete opposite. This campground does have a very large seasonal base and we are proud of that. When weekenders, such as the ones above, come in and think they are going to take over and make up their own rules, my best advise is to find another campground because this won't happen at Earlton Hill. We have many fine weekend campers that come in and enjoy the campground weekend after weekend with no problems. If you are a campground owner and would like additional information on these folks to prevent them from coming in and terrorizing your campground feel free to contact us via our website.

I purchased this campground in April of 2010 and we will soon be starting our second season. I have a professional management staff and you will find that many past practices have either been eliminated or improved significantly. I apologize for any negative past experiences and ask that you give us a second chance. We would like to prove to youthat weare one of the best campgrounds in upstate New York. Feel free to call me personally if you have any questions or would like to schedule a visit.
Sincerely,

My family and I have been loyal campers of the Earlton Hills Family Campground since 1996. We have enjoyed the many years that we have spent there. There is a nice lake for fishing and swimming, planned activites that my children enjoy. They like to get ALL campers involed in the activites. One of our favorite events is the olympic weekend, everybody in my family takes the time to participate together as a team. I don't know any other campers that have had any problems there! The managment has always been eager to please every camper. We all feel like family there. We have been there for along time and are planning to stay for many years to come!
