Ok I took my 1986 Jeep Cherokee into Division Transmission located at 8509 SE Foster RD, Portland Oregon 97266 (503)-777-6774. To have my failed transmission fixed. I spoke with the manager, his name is BUD.
After looking at my Jeep he siad I need to have the transmission rebuilt. I had no choice and the worke had to be done since this is my onley vehichle I owned.I droped my Jeep of on 11-10-1997 and I picked it up on about 11-12-1997. The transmission shifted very roughley and jerked the jeep heavley.
I took it back a few days latter and he ( BUD ) said it was normal for this transmission to do this. I didnt belive him but didnt know what to do, After all it says he can put a lien on my vehicle on the contract I singd so I did not want to complain in fear he might take my Jeep frome me.
I also forgot to mention that my Jeep shifted smoothely before he worked on it but it lost all its trany fluid becouse a seal blew out and he said it burnd up the trany.
Ok so on 1-10-1998 My transmission starts to leak and slip realy bad, I called BUD up at the shop and he siad " bring it in and I will look at it" When I took the jeep in he said it would need to be rebuilt again.
This trans was suposed to have a 6 month 6 thousand mile watentey on it and it blew after 2 months and about 2 thousand miles. He charged me 660.85 for the first rebuild and 495.00 for the second.
his reason was that he was the manager of the shop when it was first worked on and now he owned the shop. So he doesnt cover the warenty. if he was the manager before he should of noticed the rason the trans faild and fixed it the first time. What a cop out on his part. Since he had my transmission tore apart I didnt think I had a choice but to let him rebuild it the second time.. Since I picked my Jeep up it shifts even worse than before and slips in the hills and He wont do a thing but say. Thats what that transmission dose.
PLEASE HELP ME GET MY MONEY BACK... If not all but some. At least I know people will read this about him and maybe not go to him. [email protected]
I also have recipts to prove the dates and the price involved. Toatall is 1,155.85$ for a still not working properley transmission sorry for rambling on that you for your help
