DITECH FRAUDULANT FLOOD INSURANCE CHARGES PALATINE Illinois
My complaint against Ditech once Greentree once Countrywide resolves around flood insurance on property I own in FL. Back in November 2014, I received notice that I was delinquent in paying flood insurance and owned Greentree 1221 $ for a 6 month policy I checked with the local county and found out that the Army corps of engineers (bless their hearts) had in February of 2014 deemed my property in a flood zone. After a going through the usual attempts to resolve issue via Greentree’ s help desk I gave up and got a policy throut my regular insurance company for 435$ for a 6 month policy, ½ the amount Ditech was trying to rip me off for. I forwarded my 435 $ policy to Ditech for their records. I told l them via letter, email and by phone that they cannot bill me for a flood insurance that I did not know I needed for 1st half of 2014. Now the amount that Ditech claims I owe has altered to be the same amount I pay monthly (1221 to 1039) making it look like I missed a regular payment which I have not. This is the classic case of corporate greed, I never asked Ditech to buy my mortgage, and since then Ditech has been utterly hateful to work with. I agree with all of the others posting here that Ditech’s customers service is the pits and. I’m hoping that the class action law suit involving Ditech’ s desire to rip customer off via inflated flood insurance goes though and against this horrible company.
