Dirck's Moving Services Ripped Me Off!
I was the webmaster for www.dircks.com and was ripped off by them on my last deal.
I had a deal to update their website with their newsletter every month. I charged them $100 per page, and it was four pages long.
I did the Jan 2000 newsletter can demanded money upfront because I had problems collecting with them in the past. No problem, they paid.
For Feb 2000 they said they were cutting a check the next day so I made the update. When no check came I found out they locked me out of the web site and refused to pay.
Why? Because Rick Dircks (owner) said the $400 for Jan was enough to cover both. What, suddenly they get to set the price?
They thought my $100 per page was not fair, because my old price was $40. Yet the paid the $100 per page in Jan. The price went up because they didn't want to renew their maintenance agreement and therefore I was doing work without the discounted price of a contract.
If they had a problem with my pricing they shouldn't have hired me for the Jan 2000 newsletter. I can charge what I want, it is up to them to accept it or not. And since they accepted the deal they owe me the $400.
They are refusing to pay me the $400 they owe me and have since found a new webmaster. They obviously planned this thing out since Jan 2000 and intended to rip me off from the start.
Do not use this company for your moving needs! They are nothing but a bunch of con artists!
