Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I contacted Cyber-Expressway.net for a dialup account and all i got was busy signals after numerous tries to connect. (This is why I was looking for a new ISP Dial up account) I did finally connect but everything took forever from browsing the net to checking my email. The worst was trying to submit to the search engines and then our software sends a report to client to prove the submission was indeed done. The report was trying to send and it just sits there and I remember reading some articles a few day earlier about ISP's blocking port 25 because of the spam issue. That's fine... but what about censoring users use and not even telling they are blocking port 25. I was on his network for 15-20 mins and that was it... seems pretty steep for 20 minutes of slow and limited access. When this was discovered.. Cyber-Expressway.net was censoring and stopping me from mailing my report to my client.. immediately I called and cancelled. I did receive a call from Cyber-Expressway.net maybe an hour later wanting to see if I subscibed and the charges and the account was real. I explained to Cyber-Expressway.net what has happened

and he was restricting me from doing business as normal(blocking port 25) and I wanted a full refund because of the previous addressed issue above. He did admit they were censoring internet use by blocking port 25 to stop spam. I told him .. he was interfering with our company that is not sending spam .. that only needs to send one report to each client. He said he was sorry and there was nothing he could do. He told me he would look into it and give me a refund. I thought his word was good and was giving me a full refund. WRONG!!!

Check out his response after looking into this situation!

This is to let you know that your account will be canceled on November 30, 2000. Our records show that there is nothing wrong with the dialup number you chose and you were able to use our service. Therefore, you are not eligible for a full refund.

My Response:

Dear Sir

There is problems with your service as stated in our previous conversation and you have been turned into BBB and our local attorney general office and a formal complaint has been filed against you. Our corporate attorney stated "contact your credit card company to get a refund". Also, you have been reported to http://www.badbusinessbureau.com

Have a nice day

To: Subject: Rebuttal to RipOffReport Date: Sat, 4 Nov 2000 12:22:54 -0700 This email is a rebuttal to RipOff #3755. It was sent by CyberExpressWay Internet Service at [email protected]. RIP OFF BY Cyber-Expressway.net (#3755) They filed the following rebuttal to the above Rip-Off Report: Their email: [email protected] Their name: CyberExpressWay Internet Service Their phone number: 888-440-1822 Their relationship to the company: Owner Rebuttal: Customer contacted us on 11/04/00 by email and here is our response: Dear Customer, I am sorry but I have no idea what you are talking about. My partner received a call from you on 11/02/2000 a couple of hours after you opened your account. You had used the service twice within the first two hours of opening the account and you stated that it was working fine and you want to know if you could send spam email over through our service. You had purchased our $12.95 Internet access account that does not include email services, but even our $14.95 account that includes email services does not allow customers to send spam email as you will find with most Internet Service Providers. I have requested that the $12.52 charged to your credit card be refunded and that your service be canceled. Since this appears to be what you would desire by your attached email. I would suggest in the future that you check with a Internet Service Provider regarding their spam email policies before signing up for and using their service. Sincerely, Webmaster CyberExpressWay Internet Service (names were removed from the above email) Dear Bad Business Bureau, If it weren't for the customer contacting us on 11/04/00 we would not have known about this false claim. I would suggest that your company notify businesses or attempt to verify a claim before posting it!
