On 11-22-02, I purchased a Nokia 8270 cricket phone for $163.86 cash, and also eligible to receive a $50 rebate check, if purchased between October 7th and November 24 -2002. Also to receive this rebate, you have to be a active Cricket customer with your account in good standing.

On 1-28-03,I contacted Cricket, the female rep told me she did not have me in their system, to call back a week later. I called on this date 2-11-03, and the male rep told me that I was added to the system 2 weeks ago, that I would need to wait another 4-6 weeks for my rebate.

Then he had the nerve to ask me, "Why did you not contact us after you bought the phone", I replied, "Because according to the phone recording, you arent allowed to contact the rebate office until 65 days after the phone purchase. I told him I would be more than happy to fax him all my paperwork, he said, that would only prolong my rebate. I need my money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also had some trouble getting a rebate from Cricket. It was sometime last year, and I had purchased a new phone and of course, they offered the $50.00 rebate. Now, before I sent it out, I made sure to make myself copies of everything that I sent to cricket. I had a friend who worked in a mail center and asked her to mail it out before she did that, she made a copie of the letter with the dated post mark on the envelope for my files. About 3-4 months later, I got a letter from cricket in the mail stating that they recieved my request for the rebate, but they could not honor it because i didnt mail it between the dates that the rebate asked. I guess Cricket must have thought that I would not respond, but that just pissed me off and me being the type of person that I am, I WAS DETERMINED TO GET WHAT WAS RIGHTFULLY OWED BACK TO ME!! Pretty much to make a long story short, I kept calling and kept calling and told them that I had copies of everything including Proop of purchase and all documents that the rebate requested and that I wanted my rebate. It took at least a year, but d**n it, I got my rebate. I was so upset with the way they made me wait! Its a shame the way that Cricket does business and Yes, thier Customer Service Sucks so bad. Its impossible to get a Cust. Serv. Rep, and then, u have to wait in lines forever. And now, they wont take payments in stores unless its through that machine, and the other day, I was in there and the Machine messed up so I had to find another location to pay my bill!! Someone should teach them a thing or two on Customer Relations!!!!!
