Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

When i first started signed up with Cox cable my bill started at $170-$180 now it is $300 dollars a month, i have been a customer with them for over 4 years now and never even received a free upgraded remote control, i only have basic cable, high speed internet and phone with a few movie channels,Every time i call to make changes to my account i can't, they tell me my bill will be higher and it usually is even after i get off  the phone with them.

these people are ripping me off and i have no voice, the special channels i wanted i never even got with my package , i need a good lawyer who can win this case for me and is serious about it. i am being taken advantage of and i know it. wonder if there are others like me in my situation. if anyone knows of a good attorney where we can start a class action or they can help i'd greatly appreciate it. I HAVE COPIES OF MY BILLS IF U NEED THEM

You won't find one

You won't find an attorney who will take your case.

Their rates are approved by local regulatory agencies, and as long as you are being charged these rates(which I can just about guarantee you are) there isn't a valid claim.

Your only valid complaint may be is if you have something in writing that states you get a free remote or should get specific channels and are not getting them. But that isn't something an attorney is going to waste their time on. You would end up having to pay the retainer of several hundred to a few thousand dollars and in the end even if you prevail may only get a few dollars as compensation. You could try to take them to Small Claims, but again in the end it may be a victory in name only.

This is how all companies work. They will give you discounts and offers to get you to sign up, once those offers expire and end you start getting charged their regular rate. It's all in the contract agreements you signed when you started service with them.

You want better rates, then you need to threaten and be prepared to stop their service. If you then contact them they may come up with some discount or bundle offer that will get you to stay. It doesn't work as much as this used to, but if you are assertive enough you can still sometimes get a better deal. If they refuse...then switch to another company who offers you a better deal. Then in a couple of years when those discounts end(and they will), come back to this company and get their offers for new customers.

Spectrum has done the same to me - bill went up almost 100 dollars but as far as getting an Attorney to sue them you probably won't find one. I am switching to another tv company because I have basic services and am paying more money than what the service is worth.
