Complaint Review: Consolidated Media Services - CMS - Kennesaw Georgia

CMS(consolidated media services)- called me a few month's ago to offer me magazines.right away i said NO!!, but being a nice person - i listened to their fast talk. if you have ever been on the phone with one of these telemarketing people you should know how they talk in a way that you cant get one word in.the poor telemarketer told me it was his first day and to please go along with it because he needed his job. so he transferred me to his "manager" and i was supposed to say how well the telemarketer did his job.

And so i did, then told the "manager" i didnt want magazines, he says "well this is a really good deal i'll give you a student discount even if your not a student" i said fine.

A few days later a man from CMS called me at work on a busy day to confirm my subscription.i told him i didnt want it and i wanted to cancel.he gave me alot of fast talk and i replied with-"no i want to cancel".he said "why" and i made up anything - i said "because i cant afford it" and i couldn't.the man told me he would take money off my subscription. meanwhile, my work is getting buisier,so i just said yeah whatever just leave me alone.

When i got home i found a letter they had sent me telling me i had only ten days to cancel - of course it had taken the letter a few days to get to me, so i didnt have much time.

I called CMS to try to cancel again. the woman on the phone was very rude to me and told me i couldnt cancel because she would have to give commission back to the telemarketer who talked to me.i said to her "then what are my oppions, i havent recieved anything from you yet and i dont want to." she told me that i could recive magazines from them or pay $500 and get nothing.i said "well i geuss i have no choice do i"?

i then wrote them a very polite letter telling them to please cancel , i havent gotten magazines yet after two months and i dont want any!i asked them to please send me a letter comfirming the cancelation.then i canceled my checking account because they took $60.

CMS sent me a letter telling me they were confirming.i was relievied.

Soon after i started getting phone calls from people asking me how happy i was with my magazine subcription.i told them i didnt have one and to leave me alone.

CMS started harrassing me at work - my boss had to tell them to stop calling.

I took another look at the "cancelation" letter they sent me.i read it a few times and realized they were confirming something but they didnt specify what.the letter said they would send me invoices for my payments but i never recieved any "invoices". Now i get a letter in the mail saying i owe $500 - and i never recieved magazines.

I attempted to cancel several times.

I have never recieced anything from CMS but harrassment.

I feel like they are the mob!

In my opinion - if no services are rendered, no payment should be required!

ive read some of the other entries about CMS on this site and i cant believe what im reading.how is this company still in buissness when so many people have had their lives ruined due to CMS!!!!
