Jamil Monsour, the owner of Computer Outlet, hired me to perform work and agreed to $15/hr.  He is now stating he only hired me at $9/hr (which I would have never accepted and was less than my other job offers).  

  1. I was not provided lunch breaks, and he went back and changed my wage amount (how much I earn), in the computer, prior to filing payroll.
  2. I was told he was looking for long-term employees; however, he was in negotiation with another computer company for acquisition, at the time of interview.  Due to his negligence in disclosure, I lost 2 other job offers and was fired, once the acquisition negotiations finished.
  3. I was provided extremely little training on the internal systems and procedures (basically, set up to fail) AND put in charge of other employees, with no knowledge of their background (no clue who I was managing or their capabilities - had to learn WHILE I managed customer service AND repaired computers AND managed the back service orders that I didn't know how they were organized)
  4. He broke Illinois employment law by waiting over 2 weeks, after termination, to issue a check (and he has still not sent any paystubs).

I am in the process of filing a complaint with the Illinois Department of Labor.  

BE CAREFUL AND KEEP ALL PAPERWORK!!!  Outlet Computers' owner, Jamil Monsour, is not to be trusted in business (speaking from my own personal experience).
