My problem with Camel Moving and Storage has not been resolved.

On 5/3/12 they picked up my personal belongings from me in Sacramento, CA and placed them in storage to await the close of escrow to deliver them along with the items they had in storage from 11/2010 to date. In the early part of June, I contacted them by e-mail and copied my husband who was paying them and arranged a delivery date. Dan with Camel contacted me and we set the date for June 22,2012.

I recieved the belonging from the Storage unit at my home in Las Vegas however, I did not recieve my wardrobe boxes.  The inventory control sheets from Camel showed that my clothes had been delivered to a friend of the family in Oakland, CA. This woman is 92 years old and she was expecting the clothing of her deceased friend that had been stored with Camel back in 11/2010. She did not recognize my clothing and when I called her she said it had been delivered a few weeks prior with the deceased persons clothing. She disposed of some but she still has some.

I notified Camel of the mistake on the phone and in writing on the same Inventory sheet that shows they delivered my belongings to Oakland in error. After two requests, I recieved a claim form. The claim was denied in less then one hour.  I sent it to them on 6/29/12 at about 2:49pm and by 3:40pm they denied the claim and said it had been fully reviewed.

Today is 7/3 I do not have my remaining clothing, they are in Oakland and this company has been very abusive. They have not made restitution for my missing clothing. They have the worst customer service I have encountered do yourself a favor and never do business with them. Their tone is disrespectful and they are trying to bully me. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of California, The Consumer Complaint Agency and will contact the Association of Storage and Movers to assist me. If necessary, I will take this up with Small Claims Court. They even told me they would sue me.

As a consumer, I have every right to complain when I have not recieved the service my husband has paid for. This is the United States of America and free speech is my right.
