The TRUNK SLAMMED DOWN AND STRUCK me on the top of my head!  When my husband and I got home, he looked up recalls on the 2004 CTS. None on the trunk shocks of our 2004 CTS Cadillac. My husband wrote an e-mail to Cadillac about the trunk slamming down on me 3 times in the last 6 years. only irrevelant miles on CTS.

1st.slam: 2004 my right forearm got gashed about 3 inches. DOWN TO THE BONE! Doctor visit; Infected. sent to a  Dermatologist for infection, stitch's, and scarring. too far down to the bone for stitches. Antibiotics, Scar tape, and ointment. Cannot use arm for 2 weeks.

2nd slam:  2005 I hit my elbow as the trunk was slamming down on my right arm. Just a scrap, use antibiotic ointment in case of infection. Hard to use right arm now.

3rd slam: 1/27/10 - SLAMS down on the front of my HEAD! I can't touch the front of my head with this horrible pain. STILL. swollen, can't sleep more than 1 hour at a time, terrible headaches, still bleeding lightly from the gash on my head. Unable to sleep lying down, sleeping in a chair, double eyesight problems. Whats next?

Sends off e-mail to Cadillac. Written above. Get a return e-mail from;  part time worker. (can barely speak correct English) Customer Relationship Specialist:Helen 1-866-790-5600 Ext. 32830. Assigned Service Request number:71-798355620. They want to TALK to me! ON THE PHONE! SO I E-mail HER MY CELL NUMBER WHICH I ALWAYS ANSWER. Never calls me/us. Says she did though when I reach her thru a different number on 2/5/10. Says she was calling all the time. NOT!

February 5, 2010  1-1/2 weeks after the first e-mail to Cadillac.

Helen CRS: "Oh, I have been calling you"  (I sent her an another e-mail with my cell number. Never called, but tells me she got my 2nd e-mail, with my cell number on it.)

Questions from Helen CRS to me: what is your birth date, your height, your age, how tall are you? Excuse me, what does my age, birth date, height or weight have to do with the trunk of my car?

I refuse to answer stupid {personal} questions about myself. Irrevlant to CTS Cadillac faulty Trunk that slams down and does great injury when opening!

Injured Me: Are you going to pick up my car and fix it? Are you going to pay for any and all present and future medical bills? I need to see a doctor now, Is Cadillac going to send me to a specialist because I am injured?this is a serious head injury now. 

Helen CRS: Well, no .you do have health insurance don't you? Yes. Well see your doctor, or just take some medication for the pain. We can't help you here. But I am going to turn your case over to; The Product Allegation Department, they will review your case and get back to you after 2 business days, today is Friday, so maybe next Wed or Thurs. (two weeks since first e-mail)

Injured Me: The trunk slammed on my head, Really, really hurts a lot. I am in lots of pain, can you please fix the trunk and get me some medical help. Please give me the name of your manger and his/her telephone number. I/we need a decision maker.

Helen CRS: they don't have telephone numbers and I don't know their names.

Injured me: Can you have them call me?

Helen CRS:  No, they are in meetings all day. And, I don't know their names

Injured me: If you work for them, don't you know their names or phone numbers? Or please transfer me to a "decision maker" that can do something immediately.

Helen CRS: NO, I cannot tell you their names, or have them call you.

Injured me: Okay, since I called you, and YOU record all conversations, I too have recorded this telephone conversation. You have just told me that you will not get me medical help since I have medical insurance and to take some aspirin for the pain in my head. Right? This horrible head Injury may cost thousands of dollars and perhaps a hospital stay. You want my health insurance company to pay for this? And you want me to pay real dollars out of my pocket for this too? And, you will not fix the trunk of my car because it wants to kill me and injure me?  I use the trunk and it is obviously defective! I have a scar to prove it too.

Everyone! But I own a CADILLAC CTS! I was the only person in the month November 2003 that ever purchased a Cadillac at Young Buick/Cadillac/Pontiac in Escondido CA. for that ENTIRE MONTH! There were no other car sales that month, except my CTS. This car! For my 50th birthday! I could have bought a BMW, Mercedes, Lexus anything in the 40K range. But I chose a Cadillac CTS feeling like a real American. Might be my last car for 15 years? I did not expect for it to attack me when I used the trunk. Right now, Toyota is recalling most of their cars for faulty gas pedals and brakes! General Motors wants me to buy more cars there now? We'll see about that one. I want to believe in American Products. However, the Unions make it too expensive to buy an American made car now. $2,500.00 of every car is built into the rpice because of Union pensions! I am American. But if Cadillac wants to treat me like a 3rd world country citizen, then they have bigger problems than me. They will forever lost me and my family forever! So much for those nice Union pensions nowadays.

Please read report on Cadillac's 2004 CTS.

Trunk Shocks are Defective.
