BMG Music Service Phone solicitation scam - free CD scam Indianapolis Indiana
This company offers free CD's when you buy a CD (offer varies), free CD's if you sign up for online statements, etc. However, they fail to tell you that the free CD's are extremely limited. Any of the newer CD's they stock are determined unavailable for the free CD offer. After submitting nearly 10 titles, I finally found one that was eligible for this offer. The others were called "Premium" and could not be used in conjunction with any offer.
In addition to this, they have a phone solicitation, again offering free CD's with purchase. Once again, you are extremely limited in what you may select. You are not told ahead of time that you cannot select the CD's of your choice. But, in addition, you cannot select the free CD's online; you must call BMG direct even though they claim to be the same company. Of course, on the website there is NO phone number or contact information given. Only by searching the internet directory service can you access this.
On top of all of this, many of the new releases are not available with BMG, even though they are available in almost all discount stores. I am thinking BMG only gets music when it is no longer considered "hot." I have had to purchase anything new from places such as Target.
If I am ever able to receive my so called "free" CD's, I am never dealing with this company again.
