Why would a small PC repair firm buy anything from Best Buy or any other RETAILER? I own a computer services company and when I need hardware, I purchase it WHOLESALE (from the area distributor.) This ROR makes me wonder if this "small pc repair" firm is a legitimate business with a business TIN.

Also made sure to include his business name, lol ......... I am not a fan of best buy by any means, they will never get another penny of my money, but I wouldn't expect anything from anybody with no receipt. How would a business know if you weren't just, oh, turning in parts you had already replaced, but didn't purchase? Even if the reciept was partial, who's to say what important part was missing.

You go from not having a receipt to having "part" of a receipt. So what part did you have? Without a Receipt you received a Store Credit(Gift Card), this is pretty much standard procedure. Mainly because there is no proof of how you paid for it, or that you even purchased it at Best Buy.
