Wow. I'm glad I followed my instinct to check this company out. I recently lost my job to "workforce reduction". I'm an IT professional looking for work. I posted my resume' at hotjobs.com and I recieved an e-mail from Bernard Haldane and Associates for a free "resume' assessment". I figured, "What the heck." A day later, I received a phone call. I set up an appointment for today.
I drove out and talked to the "Vice President". At first, I thought it was a good idea but when I asked about the "fee", I never got a straight answer. I told him that I was unemployed and couldn't afford much. He said that he would work out something with me. I'm thinking maybe four or five hundred dollars, a thousand at the most. I have a second "interview" on Friday.
I'm glad I found this website! There is no way I'm shelling out 4 grand!! This sounds like a scam to me. I had a funny feeling so I started doing my searches until I found this site. He told me much of the same stuff like "we create positions" and "resumes posted at monster are not seen by the decision makers".
I'll probably keep my appointment and I may even mention this site and see how he responds. I'm going to ask a million questions and then I'll decline from using their services. I wish all of the people that were scammed by these guys much success in getting your money back. I'll keep you posted.
