BENJAMIN FRANKLIN The Punctual Plumber Outrageous charge for correcting a leaking toilette of $ 438.00!! New Hope Minnesota
I had never used Benjamin Franklin before but they sent me a 20% discount for seniors and I thought that they were a responsible company willing to help seniors with fixed income. Well, in previous opportunities I have used Roto Rooter or other private plumbers and the usual charge is from $ 180 to $ 198 for changing whatever goes inside the toilette to ensure that it does not continue leaking. This is the same thing that Benjamin Franklin did but at the outrageous price of $ 438.00 so that then could give the 20% discount to the elderly customer for an outrageous net price of $ 368.20. This qualifies as a ripoff and I hope that lots of people see this complaint. In reality, I should have obtained a bid before the guy did the job and then I would have said forget it and they would have charged $ 89 service fee and I could still gone to another plumber and still save some money. It amazes me how these people can keep themselves in business charging those prices. The worker did the work in 18 minutes and the materials he put in I could have bought at Menards for less than $ 20. In addition, to do that you do not even need to be a plumber. Maybe the person they sent was not even a plumber. A BIG RIPOFF. HOPE NOBODY USES THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN.
