Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

This Fresno office of the Better Business Bureau did absolutely nothing to assist in an insurance fraud case of a dentist collecting payment for a procedure that was never done. This office of the BBB didn't even request evidence from me. They logged the case online, did nothing, then closed the complaint as "unresolved". It was unresolved based on inaction.

I see that there are numerous complaints against various BBB offices in Rippoffreport and this seems to be a recurring result.

Why are these offices open at all? Consumers would be better off using Yelp to warn others not to use certain merchants and/or service providers.

Don't waste your time with these useless BBB offices. I don't know what they do, if anything, for the consumer but they are not a consumer service.

The PLAIN TRUTH About The BBB and Their BS

#2Consumer Comment

The ONLY purpose of the BBB is to SELL their worthless "ratings" to ANY business which wants to BUY one. Their game plan is to DECEIVE stage public into thinking they are a part of government or law enforcement. That's why they refer to themselves as "the bureau". The BBB and all their BS is NOT part of ANY government body and has ZERO power to do ANYTHING! If a business BUYS their PHONEY BBB-BS rating, they will NEVER decide against the business in their SHAM arbitration con-game. You discovered all this in your problem you described. Many, many others have done the same. The BBB is NOT what the public thinks it is. Those at the top of the "Outfit" are taking huge amounts of money from the "take".

#3Consumer Suggestion

I am not sure what you expect but the BBB is not a Government Agency, they have zero legal or regulatory power to do anything. There are times that they can assist if a business is willing to help, but if a business ignores them they can not do anything to force a business to comply. This is even without the "Pay for Play" scandal that some branches had been doing.

If you are accusing a business of Insurance Fraud, you need to contact your State's Insurance Commissioner or the Insurance Agency involved. With a Dentist you can contact your States Licenseing Board and file a formal complaint.

If you paid for a service and did not have it performed you can also go after them in Small Claims for your looses.
