I apologize, at least, to those who have posted crstructive rebuttals to this report. However, please take the following in mind: 1) As a nation, we profit from the work of illegal loaborers. 2) As a nation, Mexixo is economically dependent on the Unted States. 3) As an industry, commercial agricultar profits HEAVILY from the employment of illegal aliens. I could go on an and on, and I xpect that I will be called upon again and again to defend my position. But the bottom line is that AMERICANS are profiting from the work of latinos. So iif this scenario upsets you so badly, why not go after the Americans who are profitiing, and leave the laborers alone? When our country faced labor stifes in the early 1900's, did we attempt to boot our own from our country? No. We changed the laws so9 that EVERYBODY could work here. After all the self righteousness has been presented, I have just one question: What is the problem with entering and working in this country LEGALLY? If I were hungry, would you rather I sneak into your house and help myself to your food, or should I knock on your door and ask for food? If an illegato should be protected from the immigration laws just because my fellow Americans are too !$@^#^*& lazy to do certain work, should a criminal be excused because he is too lazy to find honest work? The law is the law, and all laws, great and small, should be upheld. Otherwise the United Stqtes becomes a lawless territory, with no respect for law of any kind. Sort of like those who sneak in here and work for those who aer no less criminal than they are. I don't care ne whit about all the terrible things that may happen to Americans if illegals were forced to obey our laws like we are required to obey the laws of Mexico and other "donor" countries. neither do I care about the things that may happen to those who come here illegally. For 30 years I have worked in dangerous industries with "Illegals". We have built your houses, picked your food, cleaned up after you, and tended your yards and children. I am American, born and raised here. I have been the commander for many a fine person...not identified by race or language. I see the laziness of the new recruits under my command that have come from 'nice, educated, American families'. Complaints and whining..along with requests for special treatment. They have ususally quit within the first week, claiming the work is too hard, yet I am a woman..and I can outwork them from sun up to sun down. Who pays sales tax on consumable goods? Everyone that buys anything.! Food, clothing, cars, necessities. If everybody that is considered "illegal" because a doorway has been closed against a border.should be deported..you may very well have to learn to build a hut in the trees and scavenge for food. The day will soon come. The gates that may keep you feeling safe now may one day close you in and cut you off from the world. How much would the richest person pay for the last loaf of bread? Why bother? Move to Cancun or Guatemala nad live the life of royalty. Do we want justice for the world, or ourselves? Think about it, and get a shovel.

All legal immigrants who want permanent residence in the USA must first go for a medical checkup by a state doctor. Tests for tuberculosis, syphilis and HIV are done. I've never heard mention of these issues when the question of illegal immigration is brought up. These are all deadly diseases. Think about it. It costs the applicant about $350 for the tests. Who is going to pay in the case of illegal immigrants? Or are we just going to feel sorry for them and drop the testing?

I have no sympathy for people that cry about illegals having to work 16 hour a day. I would love to work my butt of - hello overtime anyone? We - most Americans are so unbelievably lazy!! People complain about unemployment but when a job (probably crappy) is offered what happens? People would rather be unemployed than actually put in an honest, hard day of work. If you were made to work 16 hours a day you would be crying and probably quit. Oh boo h*o whining, crying, pampered, children. My husband has worked 12-14 hour days 7 days a week for the last 2 months. The Asian company he is contracted to has complained their employers are working to hard and don't get enough time off. Don't let that get out the Asians complain the American is working them too hard. The military had my whole office on 14 hour days for over 3 months with out one day off!!! It's unfortunate that companies have to employ illegal immigrant workers to pick the strawberries and grapes for your wine. Who else is going to do it? The people that are complaining? Certainly not. Or the 1000's of people on unemployment sitting on their couch or the college grad that has never done manual labor in their life or the people crying about all the immigration problems.

Recently I drove a friend of mine to a house where illegal chinese people were being housed, forced to work 16 hour days in a chinese restaurant. My friend used to work at a waitress at this restaurant and was sexually harassed by some workers there. She basically got fired for complaining, so got a lawsuit against the restaurant (The owner is from China, rich and is traffiking illegal Chinese and Mexican illegals). My friend had called INS and told them what happened, and they just don't care. No one was sent to investigate the restaurant. We talked to a neighbor across the street about the house and the owner, the neighbor told us they also had called INS about the restaurant owner, as well as the cops. The woman said she had observed people being physically abused in the house, as well as other occurrences. Nothing is done! One reason could be because INS agents are now also in the Dept of Homeland security and are pulled to do security details instead of investigating complaints. It is terrible that the abuse of these illegal immigrants are allowed to continue, with no one seeming to care. No living thing should be forced to work themselves to death like this, living in terrible conditions. To those who are racists, I just wonder what you would think if YOU were born into a body that is a different shade? Just because someone has more or less melanin is no reason to be biased.

Let me get this straight-we have thousands of ILLEGAL immagrants that should be eligible for Unemployment, health care, and benefits from the federal government who's laws they flaunted by crossing the border ILLEGALLY???? How under heaven could anyone conceivably justify that? If you're that concerned about their well-being, why don't you pay for them to get a plane ticket to the place where they came from where they can apply for the paperwork to come to this nation LEGALLY? Then, they can apply for citizenship the LEGAL way, and wait in line behind those who have already followed the LEGAL process to immigrate to this country. Yes, the conditions they work under may be bad by our standards-but, guess what? They are better than the standard of living they had previously, or they wouldn't have come here. I'm all for people trying to improve themselves-all I'm asking is that they do it the right way. Someone breaking the law to enter this country illegally is no different that someone entering your house illegally and taking your stuff because they are "in need." In truth, it is we Americans who are getting 'ripped off' by this illegal immigration. Our tax dollars are going to enforce the laws written to protect immigrants coming into this country the proper way.

I am in aggreement that this man needs to punished. Every immigrant in the US shouls come forward, have a criminal back ground check, then allowed to have Visa. So they can pay taxes and help out economy. If nothing is done, then who is going to clean the bathrooms, do construction, do the lawnwork, etc.

I do not condone the mistreatment of any human being.
