America Online Inc. ripoff Double billing during trial hrly instead of unlimeted billing after cancelation employee lies OGDEN UTAH
Hi, My name Is Mel .Like many unfortunate users of that piece of s**t software and company,componded by the merger.I found AOL, had billed me and stold two months of service during my trial period.Actually they billd me by the hour.I was able to get a two month refund(lucky me!).I then canceled my account.this took place on or about 02/07/02.End of story.....No way Imagine my sur prise later that month when I went to withdraw moeny from my account and there was two withdrawls dated 02/28/02 for the sum of 108.80 total 217.60!! cortesey of AOL.i called and they said they would credit my account 108.60 but couldnt credit the other 108.60 because It hadnt cleared yet.To make along story short.I canceled again,thought 108.60 ,better then nothing....Now upon finding mysterious 29.00 ODs and looking at my bank statements,not only did they not refund the money but here It Is septemberand I have been proud member of AOL for,June july august.Called again three person run around,said there records show they gave me a108.60 credit ,that my bank statement Is wrong!gave me a two month refund and said thats all they can do.SO now I am out the original 217.60 +23.95 for august.there records show no logon since april 19 ,2002.Hows that for agood f***ing.Any suggestions or help for tring to get them to respond would be appreciated.My overdrafts cost 29.00 apiece and I may get thrown out due to there crooked way of doing business.I know the money doesnt sound like much but my wife Is disabled,needs a liver transplant.Im unemployed due to naftda and letting every country In the world move In .Nigeria Mexico India ect.Why hire me for 11.50 when I can hire these Illegal Aliena who drive New trucks and pay no taxes for 6.00 Its a hard world but AOL made alot worse by thre legal theft and TS attitude.Ihope steve case gets mugged and doesnt survive.Sorry for the rant thankyou for your time.

I tried calling AOHELL again and was first told that they had no record of adouble bill for $108.60 and that I was to stupid to read a bank statement.I was also Informed that AOL has never been sued for unauthorized billing or anything else.Infact they have been systematicly ripping people off since 1995 and still do.Fortunately my bank helped to make them see the light. when presented with their wire transfer number where they stash the cash In this neck of the woods.all the sudden their records showed three cancelations on record during which time they still managed to extract $108.60 twice on the same day,plus billed me for June July and august at 23.95 a pop. Interestingly,Julys price was $24.95,a dollar difference.then back to 23.95 In August.Why I dont know.To make a long story short they said they would refund all money.I will beleive It when I see the money.although they admitted the mistakes and closed the door on useing my bank account for a petty cash fund I still think they will never give back the money without a court judgement.plus I am still out the three $29.00 overdrawn account charges,which are much harder to prove and collect.any way I will wait and see. spread the word AOL Is a huge crooked entity that makes money off the little people.Multiply my problems x say even a half million and It adds up to alot of money.a certain amount of people are going to just let It go to save the aggravation.Evidently the the ripoffs make more then any of the lawsuits and rare refunds or It would not be profitable to continue.Steve Case loves his job.Good luck to all you will need It!!!!:)
