At 11:57 on 10/02/2018, I received this text message:
" Hi Deb T, Alex Grace here from Zillow. Got your note about 5130 Ogden St, Detroit. Are you free after 8 am to talk? 12 pm -4 pm especially good on my end."
Phone call at 11:37 am on 10/03/2018 from same phone number
Text message at 11:39 am on 10/03/2018 from same number: " Hi Deb, jut tried giving you a call. Could we connect at 5:30 pm to discuss 5130 Ogden St in Detroit?"
I replied at 11:39 am on 10/03/2018:
" Hi Alex, can you tell me what email address was used?"
Text reply at 11:42 am on 10/03/2018:
" Hi there Deb, are you available for a call?"
I replied at 11:49 am on 10/03/2018:
" I'm not. And it concerns me that you have my cell number and are using my maiden name. I don't live anywhere near Detroit but somehow got signed up most likely using a random email."
Then I replied again at 11:51 am on 10/03/2018:
" Which is why I am asking for the email address that was used to sign me up."
Text reply at 11:57 am on 10/03/2018:
"Understood. I'm jut following up on an inquire that was submitted to Zillow. Did you inquire about a property at 5130 Ogden St, in Detroit?"
I replied at 12:04 pm:
"I did not."
Then after doing some research online, I discovered that this name is associated with Zillow and Trulia scams.
I again replied at 12:20 pm on 10/03/2018:
"Oh so actually you are a ripoff agent! And not really with Zillow. Love Google. Do not contact me ever again."
