This thread was about Ryan Homes/an NVR company. William Ryan Homes, though distantly related is a different builder. However the builder reply seems to come from the same BS handbook of customer avoidance, with a public show of good faith, and often nothing more in actual deeds.
It is a myth that home-buyers often thoughtlessly run to the Internet and complain without giving builders any chance for remedy. 99 times out of 100 they are just tired of being run in endless circles with customer service, or they hit a wall and can't get a problem fixed. At times customers are treated so horribly they do get mad and are quicker to post publicly.
Often it's when a builder's contractor makes major mistakes that fall outside the normal mistakes the builder is used to dealing with. Yet the builder, all of them that are like this one, play the victim of the consumer by default.
But complaining online is getting builders to fix things they have often otherwise just blown off. Some seem to care about their reputation, and may be willing to resolve this issue if the victim persists; Unlike Ryan Homes, who has jammed 1,000s of pages into search indexes and created multiple sites and back links to bury or belittle complaints whenever possible.

All I got was lies and fraud from your VP. You know very well who I am. Let me refresh your memory. I am the customer that you dumped the water problem on from two houses over. The house where you were to install a swale but instead ran 100' of 10" PVC commercial drainage pipe to my property line. My grading and foundation are getting destroyed and this is your response. These people are pure evil.
