Venmo touts its payee protections! If you get paid its yours NO matter what! That is a LIE! Apartently fraudsters with buyers remorse can whine for their money back and GET IT! Only accept bitcoin or CASH!

So, sorry to read that you were scammed by VENMO. A similar situation happened to my daughter. Venmo is under a strict Consent Agreement with the FTC wherein they must comply and essentially not break the law.
It appears VENMO is still at it and you may have some recourse in reporting your situation to the FTC and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
Check here and read all the information including the complaint and the FTC's final Consent Order that is located on the FTC's website. Plus information can also be found on VENMO and the Government actions against them through Google searches.
