ValueMax ValuMax charged $19.95 to my credit card ! WHO ARE THEY !!! Des Plaines Illinois
I recieved a letter the other day that my credit card would be charged $19.95 by Aug. 12 for my Membership to ValueMax, and that my free 7 day free trial would end on that date. Of course I recieved this letter on the 11th. I had no idea what this letter was all about and never heard of this company.
I thought I'd better look at my credit card online since I had no idea about this transaction. Sure enough it was listed as a charge. I immediately disputed this charge with my credit card company. I did look at my charges that had taken place on the date of Aug. 4th (which is the day I supposedly joined the membership), and the only other charge was to Intelius. I had gotten a report on someone that day. I still had no idea what this ValueMax was and knew I didn't subscribe to this.
I found this Ripoff Report page by Googling ValuMax. I read the letter from Rich and then realized it had to have been done on the Intelius page. I also did not click on anything to order ValuMax. I use my credit card all the time on sites for ordering, but never had this happen before. Guess I will be sure and make sure what else is on the site from now on when ordering ! What a RIPOFF !!!!
