Us Postal Service usps tracking is a big joke Warren Ohio
the tracking from usps is the biggest joke/ripoff i have ever seen. there is no tracking of an item shipped with them. they are too lazy to scan the item so there is no tracking. many times ive tried to track a package from usps and the message is always the same. (((your package was recieved on whatever date it was mailes. check later for updates)))). of course, there is never an update. i recieved a package several times and the tracking number was still telling me it was recieved on whatever date. and to check later. if you honestly want to track a package. use fedex or ups. then you can really track it/

I've noticed this about their tracking service as well. I never really thought of it as a ripoff, just a useless feature. I've purchases items on eBay and the seller would ship via USPS and provide a tracking number. I would check the tracking number while the item was en route but the Post Office doesn't update until it has been delivered and by that time you don't need to check the tracking number anymore.

There is a difference with the USPS between Tracking and Delivery Confirmation. Delivery Confirmation only tells you that the package has been delivered. You may be getting DC and think it's tracking. Not the same at all.
