I had a horrible experience with Trip.com recently and felt compelled to share my story to warn others about their deceptive practices and unethical behavior. I booked a flight through their website and ended up encountering an issue with the airline that was beyond my control. The airline made a mistake thinking my wife needed a visa so denied us boarding despite trip.com having direct knowledge, yet Trip.com refused to refund our money.They refunded 1,030.00 for a ticket purchase of almost $4,671.40
Despite providing overwhelming evidence of the airline's error, Trip.com stood firm on their decision not to issue a refund. Instead, they offered me "trick coins" a credit that I could use towards booking another flight with their already substandard company. This is completely unacceptable and unethical.
It is appalling that Trip.com is willing to take advantage of customers in this manner. They are quick to take your money but refuse to offer any form of resolution when things go wrong. It is frustrating to deal with a company that lacks integrity and refuses to do what's right.
I urge anyone considering booking through Trip.com to think twice and reconsider. There are plenty of reputable travel agencies out there that value their customers and provide excellent service. Avoid Trip.com at all costs unless you want to risk being scammed and left without a refund when you need it the most. The good news is I am suing them and will receive my money including damages. I will include everyone an update so they perhaps follow in my footsteps.

Why did you use some trashy third party when YOU should have made YOUR OWN reservations DIRECTLY with an airline of YOUR choice??? All these third party reservation places are PURE TRASH. You don't need ANY of them and THAT is a FACT. They lure you in by LYING to you they have some "special relationship with the airline, WHICH THEY DO NOT! They just can't wait for something to change or go wrong so they can keep the money from the airline instead of refunding you. Sometimes these slime balls will deliberately "make mistakes" so they can keep your money. How do you know they didn't do that TO YOU??? Nothing has changed in the reservation business. Just like always, YOU make reservations DIRECTLY. Nobody ever needs to use any of this third party reservation trash. They are all slime balls.
