Trend Homes and Home Show Mortgage In 2007 I unfortunately bought a home from Trend Homes in Cooley Station in Gilbert, AZ. Tren Homes charged $7500 extra for the home if you did not use their lender "Home Show Mortgage". Gilbert Arizona
I later learned that Trend Homes owned Home Show Mortgage. You would think that this should not be legal. I was not able to sell or rent out my home, but Trend informed me I was still liable. Home Show Mortgage also did not inform me that I was not able to purchase the house. In addition, I contacted areal estate attorney in Mesa who also informed me that I could be sued. A year later, I did find out that I could have backed away from the contract without a problem from an attorney that he knew the law.
I would recommend to never do business with Home Show Mortgage because their dealings with me were highly dishonost and they were also owned by Trend Homes at the time. I do not know if Trend Homes still own that bank. I do know that their location in Gilbert is shut down but are open in other areas of the valley under a different name. It's too bad that banks and other builders can get away with cheating the public with no repercussions. Of course, so many lives were ruined because of the shady dealings that the banks were involved with the builders!
