On April 6th I went to Tracfone's website to look for a new phone. They were running a promotion that if you purchase an Iphone Se with a $25.00 unlimited plan you get 6 months free service. I contacted them and spoke with an agent named Antoinette, I asked her several times regarding this promotion and transferring my phone number and was assured that yes, I get 6 months free service.

I purchased the phone, it was slightly more expensive then Amazon, but the 6 months free service more than made up for it. I received my phone a few weeks later and activated it. The following month I was charged, so I called, and spoke to a couple of different agents. One told me I wouldn't get it because I was already on a 6 month plan, I told her that you don't have a six month plan, it is either a monthly unlimited plan, or purchase air time as needed.

She put me on hold then told me since I was on a recurring payment that i would continue to be charged everymonth. so she cancelled the recurring plan and refunded the charge. I waited a couple of days to see if I would get the 6 month service notice and I didnt. I called again and was told that I wouldnt get it because I activated my phone as soon as I got it.

Their promotion said must be activated by 6/30/22. He told me it meant I had to activate it on that day and that day alone. I told him No, that is not what active by means. I asked for the supervisor who didnt have any more of a clue and I doubt it was a supervisor and more than likely another agent.

He told me after several heated discussions that I wouldnt get the 6 months free service because I transferred my phone number instead of getting a new number. I told him, no that is not what the ad or their sales person said. My air time expires on 7/6, this promotion should give me 6 months from then.

Tracfone not honoring promotion

I have been through both the channels as they are the only option available to contact your customer service. Cumulative days and hours spent on those two modes of communication talking to many different reps, your "customer care supervisor" was suppose to escalate it upstairs and have someone call me. This never happened.

now you are asking me to start over at square one, to use the same two avenues of contact to resolve a situation that you would not resolve the last time. No one knew what was going on or how to resolve the issue then, why should I believe that a random customer care rep answering the phone or chat box is going to do any better this time.

You need to have someone who can actually resolve the issue Contact Me!
