United States of America#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

I don't believe you understood their return policy, or you're not telling us the whole story. Toys R Us will happily exchange an item within 30 days, IF they have the SAME EXACT item in stock. But from your report, it sounded like you wanted a refund, or else a different tablet altogether. It also sounds like you might not have had the packaging, which will prevent Toys R Us from returning any item. There is no "trial period" on electronic items. Do your research ahead of time, make sure you're buying the product you want, because you will be stuck with it if you decide you just didn't like it. And no, having your kid cause a commotion does not help you bend the rules.
I've noticed a lot of customers whine that Toys R Us has poor customer service, when the return policy is clearly posted. It's not poor customer service; it's following the policies of the company paying us.
If your tablet was truly defective, then you should contact the manufacturer.
My suggestion is to research the product thoroughly next time, as well as the company's return policy, BEFORE you purchase the item.
