Tim Hortons - 3433 North Road, Burnaby Interwest Restaurants Inc Homeless congregate inside, discrimination British Columbia Burnaby
The management team here has such a disregard and lack of respect for people. My friend, who has a disability and recently moved to the area to be closer to convenient places, had some concerns about a homeless lady who spends a lot of her time here. Wanting to help, my friend approached the management team with genuine concern for everyone involved, but instead of being supportive or trying to find a solution the management told my friend to take her business elsewhere and trespassed her as if she's some kind of criminal when no outburst or anything were involved, she just randomly got an email from them one night. I mean, seriously? That's not how you treat someone who is trying to help, especially someone with a disability. This whole situation has made me question Tim Hortons' values and priorities. They completely ignored a real issue affecting their community and chose to shut down someone who was only trying to make things better and help out. Sad.
