I arrived more than two and half hours early for my 6;30 pm flight only to miss it , and never get a clear explantion as to what happened.

Spirit airlines only had one agent working for flights from BWI to Las vegas, and over fifty people missed there flight.

At 6;30 pm the ticket agent left the counter , and came back around 7:45 p.m, and she indicated that customers would be served on a one one basis.

I was told that since I missed my flight that i would need to pay and additional 582.00 for a new flight. The travel agent did waive that amount for my family.

I was told that 48 hours from now , I could get on another flight .

I have two children and my wife traveling with me , and spent seven hours in a line waiting for an answer. My wife was able to take our kids for bathroom breaks, and grab some food.

I've called spirit airlines , and there phone system either hangs up, or dispatches you to someone that has limited English.

Spiirt has notified me that its my fault that I missed my flight, and the only alternative is to be placed on a flight Monday a full 48hours later.

I've now missed my lodging, rental car, and my ticket is non-refundable.

First off I will just say that I am not a fan of Spirit, yes their business model may for some but it is not an airline I would travel on..

So with that said there are a few details missing, and doesn't seem quite right.  As while Spirit is an airline not really known for Customer Service, them leaving 50 passengers behind seems a bit of an excessive claim.    To the point that this would be news worthy if it really happened.  Yet not a single article or blurb on the Internet.  Now of course if their is one, please post a link to it for hte entire world to see.

Next, you say you arrived 2 1/2 hours before your 6:30PM flight.  Okay...arrived where?  Did you have to go to the Ticket Desk?  What time did you finally get to the ticket agent at the check-in/baggage counter?  How long was the security line?  When did you arrive at the gate?

They obviously told you that you were late because you were not at a specific point a certain time before the flight.  So what specifially did they give as the reason(even if you don't agree).

Then getting back to these 50 people.  That was probably 25% of the flight.  You of course got the name of at least some of them right?  After all that would be great proof of you being able to back up your claim, and you could backup their claims as well.
