Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I bought a Miralux Queen size mattress in late 2011 from this Sleepys location.  I was a 117 lb. single parent and slept on my brand new mattress maybe four times a week and slept in my daughters room on the couch the other nights because she was so little.  I noticed an indent in the center around 6 months after the purchase. The indent was even visible from across the room when the bed was made with a down comforter. Because I didn't sleep on it every night and I was alone, I didn't make a complaint and try to use the warranty for a replacement until almost three years later.  My new 6'4" boyfriend wasnt having it and so I called and they sent a man from Mattress Marshals over to measure. The mattress was proven defective and was credited its worth of $1200 and change.  Miralux company had since gone out of business so we had to pick from another brand and found a pillow top Simmons Beautyrest.  This new mattress was $2100 but with my Sleepys credit card, I just put the remaining balance on my card.

Fast forward to just three months later, we have a ditch again! Back pain, sleepless nights, nights on the couch, and the feeling of rolling down a cliff remained a part of our nights from January 2015 until just a month ago! We had to sleep with backs facing eachothers and off to the very edges, with an almost death grip on the sides so that we wouldn't fall into the ditch in the middle. I made calls to get another visit from the Mattress Marshal and they told me that they no longer provide that service and that they would "send me a kit" so that I could measure the bed myself, take pictures, upload them then email them to headquarters. WHAT?  So now I have to wait for them to mail it (10 days) find time to do this because my husband and I have nothing better to do, hope that I did it the right way and in the meantime keep up with my Sleepys credit card payments while I've gotten no sleep because your mattresses repeatedly fail me. The kit consists of a short piece of red yarn with a light weight at each end which is supposed to pull the yarn taught but doesn't even come close and a light weight cardboard triangle with a ruler on it which is supposed to stand up on the center of where the ditch is to measure.  Without a body on the mattress, especially a pillow top mattress your not going to get even close to the true meausrement, especially with the ridiculous and useless kit they send which just adds insult to injury. A couple days after sending in the photos we were contacted by Mattress Marshals saying that "Simmons Beautyrest mattresses require a 2" ditch in order to be eligible for a warranty replacement", and that we can order another kit in 6 months and take the measurements again. Are you kidding me?  I cried on the phone.

First of all, our ditch was MUCH deeper than 2" when slept on and even if a mattress is sagging one single inch, isn't that bad enough?! We then moved to NC and waited the 6 months to reorder our ridiculous kit for the second time but when I tried, the woman on the phone said "you can only order a kit once a year and you have to wait 6 MONTHS MORE"!!!  NOPE, I kicked and screamed over the phone and told her that my now husband and I don't even sleep together anymore and that I am not accepting that as an answer.  She put me on hold and agreed to send another one.  It was sent, we measured (and were SURE to show the 2" PLUS measurement), sent the photos off and got a credit for the original $1200 i spent on the first mattress years ago, NOT $2100.  Honestly though, all I wanted is to sleep and walk away from these jokers so I left it alone, went to our local Sleepys (now Matressfirm) here in NC refused any mattress with colls and got a Sealy Posturepedic memory foam.  Here's the CREEPY part of it all.  When the delivery guys came they took the old matrress away, but had to inspect it first and although the delivery guys were very nice, they explained that they had to call their boss with a picture of the small stain that was on it because they can't take one with stains.  I asked why, I mean, this mattress is going to be trashed anyway, right?  NOPE! They responded, "they clean them up and resell them".  SO we all know NOW why my last two mattresses failed. They were used.  And if you are reading this and your mattress failed, that is why. How is this legal?  How is this sanitary? They ended up accepting my old mattress and thank god because I'm not sure how I would've reacted.
