Showcase Honda sold me a faulty used car Phoenix Arizona
I traded in my 2005 Honda Civic EX at Showcase Honda, where I had brought it for a 30,000 mile maintenance check, on 11/27/06. I asked Paxton Trostlw, the employee, I was speaking with, if it was possible for them to pay off my loan with Honda Financial and give a good, used vehicle in exchange for my car. Paxton brought out a 1993 Lexus GS300 with 133,000 miles that he said had all new parts put into it to the cost of over $2,000.00 to Honda. He stated that the Lexus had new: tires, brakes, timing belt, and oil. I took the car thinking that this high-end Toyota would last me several years.
When I returned home that Monday night I found leaks coming from under the engine. I took the vehicle back one week later, Monday December 04, 2006, knowing I had 15 days to evaluate the car. That dayI took the car into service at Showcase Honda and spoke with the service manager, Dan Hare, to whom I pointed out a leak and moaning sound the car was making when you tgurned the steering wheel. Approximately four hours later an employee came up to me and mentrioned he noticed my car sitting outside the service department. I went over to Dan Hare and asked what he had done to the auto, to which he answered "nothing". I requested a list of the repairs done to the car when they got it in and Dan answered again, "Nothing". I said, " you did not make ANY repairs to this car whewn you took it in?" The service manager said, "no, sales did not want us to do anything". I felt as if someone punched me in my stomach.
I phoned a lawyer, Marshall Meyer, who I found on the internet, under az lemon law used autos. He does not have much of a hope for me because of all the legalize on the buyers form I signed. I faxed Showcase twice building a record against them. I hope I can get some help from you. Thank you.
