Dear Jonah, I suggest you not be so judgemental. Because somebody has fallen on hard times does not mean they are a deadbeat. I have a card with Robinson's May, and the ONE time I was late,my father had a heart attack and I was in the hospital with him. Robinson's May called like 3 days after...they can be pretty obstinate.

"I said that I agreed only to make that payment if my friend could loan me the money." You are upset that they called your friend but you are the one who dragged her into this. What you really agreed to was to pay your bill on time. I have a Rob/May card and I don't recall being offered the special arrangement you got. "This is so appalling I can't imagine how she could possibly get away with this kind of tactic". Like being a deadbeat and then claiming you were ripped off is somehow on the up-and-up?
