I've decided to post my recent experience with a certain e-Bay seller named "rocktoys.com" after reading other e-Bay users experiences on the AuctionWatch messageboard about having received "revenge feedback" from sellers. Only problem with AuctionWatch, user's aren't permitted to include the particular seller's userID when posting a bidder alert(?). Hopefully here the words will remain.

After winning the bid on a highly collectible CD auction item that e-Bay seller rocktoys.com had listed, I waited several days for him to contact me with the necessary info to complete our transaction. It soon became obvious that I would need to be the first to make contact, so I sent an inquiry to him. He responded by saying that he had mistakenly overlooked placing a reserve price on the item, and that his intention was to relist the CD! I was furious at this obvious line of bull#*@# and warned him that if he reniged on my winning bid I would be compelled to submit negative feedback about the situation on him. Of course, rocktoys.com then threatened to return the negative feedback if I did. Well, when I read the revenge feedback he posted, it staggered me for a moment! Here was this nasty, unscrupulous seller calling ME a piece of human garbage/deadbeat thief, all the while knowing that he was the one perpetrating lies.

I contacted the other e-Bay users who had submitted either neutral or negative feedback on this seller, and their stories were very similar to mine. They had all levied a legitimate complaint via the feedback forum against rocktoys.com FIRST, and had received nasty, slanderous "revenge feedback" from him in return. This person is obviously of VERY low character and needs to be reprimanded by e-Bay, but my efforts in both that regard and to have his false feedback removed from my profile proved fruitless. To e-Bay, customer service seems to actually mean "seller service" because that's who is paying their bills.

Depending on e-Bay to clean up it's own house is a waste of time.

I just want potential winning bidders of rocktoys.com's auction items to realize that if a problem should arise with their e-Bay transaction, even through no fault of their own doing, they can fully expect to have their feedback profiles marred by this seller's extremely vulgar and uncouth feedback comments.

BE WARNED!!!
