RAGINGBID.COM was a penny auction site. Scott Matthews and Ragingbid.com stole $27,728.00 from me.  I paid for $27,728.00 in merchandise and he has not sent me what I paid for. I have waited up to 5 months for my merchandise. He also used bots/phony bidders to run auctions to take as much money as he could from me.

Before I go into detail, I want to make mention of the fact that Scott Matthews threatened anyone who
asked for their merchandise that they paid for with a Slander suit.

There are penny auction forums where Ragingbid.com customers voiced their concerns because they did not receive their merchandise.  Scott Matthews threatened these penny auction sites with a slander suit.

I actually hope he sues me because I think I might be able to dig deeper into his fraudulent businesses to seek justice.

Scott Matthews aka Scott Randolph Matthews, the owner shut down the website over 2 months ago. I am embarrassed to say that Ragingbid owes me $27,728.00.

These are my wins that I paid for and that I have never received:

 GRAND TOTAL OWED.$27,728.00
* Please note: In order to win a sports contest a bidder had to spend at least $600 per week to stay in contention because it was based on how many bids you purchased to win.

Here are the announcements verifying that I was the winner of the World Series contest and also an NCAA tournament win: Please note, my username in this contest is itsminenow:
World Series 2012-Well everyone is at the edge of their seats wanting to know the outcome of the MLB promotion. What an amazing promotion it was! Two members went back to back with their picks- 11 games each in the first round, 8 games each in the second round decided by points which Kalyfrans won with an exact pick at 137 runs, the World Series ended just the way it did on the field itsminenow and Kalfrans boith picked the Cardinals itsminenow picked the exact number of runs with 68 kalyfrans 69. What amazing picks. Now their both going to next years World Series game 3 along with hotel and airfare provided by RagingBid.

My 2012 NCAA contest win was a 4 day trip to Las Vegas included: show, dinner and a 4 night stay at Four Seasons at Mandalay Bay in a deluxe suite.

I bid against usernames that were unique to Ragingbid.com. In other words, my bidding opponents usernames never bid anywhere else. Of course, I should have known better, but at that time I did not.

I take responsibility in all this, my responsibility is limited because Scott Matthews is the criminal. I am the victim. THE OWNER OF RAGINGBID.COM, conned me to steal money from me..

Some of you readers might think that I got my wins for low prices. At Ragingbid.com, I am embarrassed to admit that my auctions went over retail most of the time and I routinely paid approx. 150-200% over retail.  I felt like I had to stay in the auction so I could at least get back some of the money I spent in bids. I ONLY WANT THE VALUE OF THE OVERPRICED MERCHANDISE I PURCHASED.

Scott Matthews would call me to say that he was watching my auction and that the end was near, but then clarify that he could not control other bidders.  If only I had realized that my bidding opponents were actually Scott Matthew's phony bidders.

I want my money back. I paid over $40,000 for $27,000 in merchandise. I take full responsiblity for the $14,000 difference. The facts are that I am still waiting for MY  $27,000 merchandise after 5 months.

Ragingbid.com is closed. Scott Matthews is out of sight, he left good people holding the bag.

I feel a responsibility to get my story out and expose Scott Matthews, President and owner of Ragingbids.com. Scott Matthews used Ragingbid.com to steal money. He is a man who continued to run auctions and sell bids through May 19, 2012 even though he had stopped sending out prior winner's merchandise.

He held auctions from Feb. 10 until May 19, 2012 to get revenue for his BIG lifestyle.

He said he was friends with Spudd Webb and Usher.  He sad he was a millionaire. He told me and many other people that a famous actress was a regular bidder. This woman is a current star and a fashion icon as well. He told me and others that a football player with the Seattle Seahawks was a regular bidder.

I called, I emailed, I sent contact us messages at Ragingbid.com. Scott Matthews told me excuses that I know were lies. He told me so many lies..Amazon Prime takes a month, a new version of the computer I owe you is coming out, you will get the computer soon, you will get your item by the end of the week.

Paypal allows only 45 days to dispute a charge. Scott Matthews convinced me he was going to pay me, so I did not file disputes. My expired disputes cost me $10,000 and I will never be able to recover that money. I refused to accept the fact that Scott Matthews would cheat me. Sometimes he called me, not about Ragingbid.com, but to talk about other things too.  He said he had a heart attack, his uncle, a man who raised Scott Matthews died, the wake was 4 days long,he had another heart attack. I now know that he set out to STEAL my money. He took money from me because he could.

I want him to repay the money he stole. If a bidder complained to ask about undelivered merchandise that they paid for, Scott Matthew cancelled their accounts at Ragingbid.com, even though he owed money to them.

Canceling accounts took away all account information. Account holders could not review their account information to know what they were owed. Account holders can not find out how many bids were left in their accounts so they could ask for a refund of bids.

At the end, Scott Matthews dreamed up more ways to steal from the bidders. He had days where bids didnt count and were refunded later. He started a baseball World Series contest early so he could get as much money as he could. His last World Series contest started in October, 2011. This years started in April 2012. He had one purpose, to take as much money as quickly as he could from his bidders.

65 days ago, Ragingbid.com closed temporarily. Ragingbid.com announced that they were updating the website and updating servers and announced they would be back in a few weeks.  Ragingbid.com is closed for good.

SCOTT MATTHEWS ABANDONED RAGINGBID.COM AND CONNED PEOPLE out OF AT LEAST $100,000.

HE TOOK AS MUCH MONEY AS HE COULD FROM ME FOR AS LONG AS HE COULD and then banned me from Ragingbid.com because I had the nerve to ask about my merchandise!!!

I bid against bots. I bid against miamimami, shashaluvsbids, Laurie64, a teacher, a nurse, dr.christopher, undertaker. None of these usernames have ever bid at other penny auction websites.

Scott Matthews of Windermere, Florida has a long history of evictions and civil judgements. A Florida judgement was decided against Scott Matthews in January 2012 for about $134,000. He has many failed businesses. One thing these businesses have in common?  They are all shut down.  You see Scott uses the system.  He cheats good people.  He is a thief.

This is not his first rodeo, he has mastered the art of stealing people's money.  According to public records, he owes the IRS.  Additionally, the IRS should levy taxes on the money he stole from Ragingbid.com. customers.  The amount is at least $100,000 and could be up to $500,000. Remember he used phony bidders to bid against a real bidder. He cheats good people trying to steal their money.

Our criminal justice system sometimes fails us.  I am not sure why, but Scott Matthews has not been prosecuted for these crimes.

I have spent at least 100 hours trying to get my money back.  I have received some back, but I am still owed at least $17,000.

A reader of my letter may think that because the fraud was a penny auction, that bidders never paid full price.  Scott Matthews used phony bidders to bid against real bidders.  These real bidders lost money because Scott Matthews set out to cheat them.

All of this is true. It happened to me. I hope my story helps others.

If you had a similar experience, please post your story on this website.

Regards,
Diana
