Purrfect Auto Service #31 "The never ending Head Repair Job" Westminster, California
On May 6th, 2012 I dropped my truck off at this place for a head gasket job, the next day this guy called to tell me that the head was cracked to which I agreed to use a Used Head for a additional cost of $200.00, which brought the cost up to $1100.00 for this job.
A week later I started having problems and started going back every other day, the main reason was the rough start, and the idle running up and down and the check engine light coming on. Following this guys advice, I replaced numerous expensive parts and the problem did not go away.
Finally, after getting a computer diagnosis from a different company, I contacted this guy and offered to drop off my truck again. The report stated that maybe one of the Valve Stems was not closing properly and it needed to be readjusted.
On 7/18/12, I dropped my truck and told these guys that they will a couple of days to take care of this problem, by then this repair had gone over the $2000.00 mark, the guy told me he would stand by his work and when I called him on 7/24/12 he told me come and get your truck, when I got there and started my truck, the problem was still there and after all this time they never bothered to open the Valve cover at least to confirm or deny the other report.
I told this guy that I had given him plenty of time to fix this problem and that my concern was that one of these days my truck was going to lurch in traffic and hit another vehicle, and that even when I brought the report at my expense he refused to even explore this venue in order to correct this problem.
Public be aware that if you take your vehicle to this shop, they will never stand by their work because they are incomptent and untrained and they will nickel and dime you to death and when they are done with you, you will have a useless vechicle to drive and you will be out of money.
P.S. You also need to know that the main players of these franchises were banned to do business in the state of Nevada.
