I started with PASSIVE TRUCKING in MIAMI, FL on 08/03/2022.  That's when I met ALASHE NELSON, who claimed that he was the Yard Manager.

I was assigned truck #4374.  Truck had an air-leak become someone had broken the airline to the passenger seat, but I was able to put vise-grips on the line and retard the leak.  The truck didn't even have numbers on it, so I had to put those on as well.  And the truck had no ELD.  That was allegedly going to be installed in Atlanta, GA as ALASHE had claimed that the company had a yard there. Things didn't start well. Go well, or end well.

When I started I told him and the dispatcher - Ludy Jean - that I did not want to be in the North-East or New Jersey area and that if I was going to deliver there I would need to get in and get out - no staying in that area.

Most truck drivers feel the same way because there are many more factors that make driving a truck in that area much more difficult and dangerous than other areas of the country.  For these reasons most Truck Drivers and even Trucking Companies avoid that area.  And so, Freight brokers pay a lot more for loads delivering in that area.

So after deadheading to the Atlanta area, I asked about the yard - where it was and if someone could install the ELD - especially since I couldn't get a load coming out of Atlanta, GA.  And that's odd, because Atlanta, GA is a freight hub - there are always loads coming into and out of Atlanta, GA.  But they had a plan.  The plan was to send the truck up to the very area that I clearly did not want to go to, and keep it there.

I had a load delivering in Vineland, NJ on 08/08/22.  The truck stayed in that area, running short trips that picked up in the afternoon, and were to deliver in the AM next day.  Because I was on paper logs, they figured waiting to get loaded for 5 or 6 hours and then driving all night to deliver was ok.

I asked about the ELD and getting to Atlanta to have it installed, but that was ignored.  I could see that I wasn't going to leave that area, and that it basically run illegal or not at all.  So on 08/16/22, I gave 2 weeks notice and explained why I needed to quit.

I wasn't confident that the company was liquid because I always had problems getting my pay, and when the truck had a tire repair (think it was under 300$) the shop had to wait until the late afternoon (several hours) to be paid.  Slow-pay becomes no-pay, and I wanted out.

They again seemed to have difficulty getting me a load back to Florida.  But it eventually happened.

The day that the load was to be delivered was also payday - which came twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays withe the deposits supposed to be completed the next morning.  So that Tuesday morning once again, the deposit wasn't there.

Alashe had claimed that it was made, but it wasn't there.  I was really sick of this, the playing with my pay.  And I demanded to be paid before the load was delivered.  I'll let the texts show what happened.
