ParValu Golf Clubs scam
I was contacted via the phone from this so called business by the name of ParValu, Inc. They sell golf clubs over the phone.. Their pitch is, these are great clubs you will love them and you can try them for 45 days risk free no obligation. So I figured why not give it a try. I didn't need any new clubs, but with a risk free trial I had nothing to lose. Immediatley after I gave them my credit card number and hung up the phone. I had a bad feeling. One, because I felt bad for trying these clubs with no intention of keeping, and two because it just didn't make sense. So a called them back within 1 hour and said hey guys, don't bother even sending me the clubs, and the other free goodies. There is no sense in you wasting money shipping these to me, I don't want the clubs. I caught a lot of grief, so I just sent them a fax in writing telling them no. I thought that was the end of it. I never received any clubs in the mail to send back. However, they did charge my credit card for $1,449.00. I have called many times and ususally get an answering machine. I have faxed, I have recently spoken to an A.J. Sexton. Vice President. I have a recorded message stating we will take care of this by March 24. I still have no credit. This all began on February 22. I spoke with the San Diego County District Attorny's office. They sent me to the local F.B.I. They took my info, but made no guarantees that anything would be done. the lady that took my report recalls an article in the local paper about the complaints on this business. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. According to their records, this ParValu, Inc. has an unsatisfactory rating. I found 1 message board on the net complaining about these people and their tactics.Phone numbers to contact them 1-800-888-9218 1-877-727-8258 1-760-603-2970 fax numbers 1-760-603-2974 1-760-931-9931 1-760-931-6721. I feel this is more than poor service. I have been scammed, and they are an illegal operation. The reported president is Paul Saunders.
