Complaint Review: Orange Crush Mobile Detailing - Brighton Colorado

RUN AWAY!!!!!! This guy Daniel "also known as DJ" Maestas, is a complete SCAM. Not professional, poor quality, complete rip off. Be sure to read his google reviews, facebook reviews and Yelp reviews. Also be sure to scroll down to the bottom of yelps page and read the "reviews not being recommend" due to helps algorithm. There is a gem stash of negative reviews on there. If you are reading this now because you are doing research on him for his services (good job) save yourself the headache and find a real company and auto detailing establishment and someone else!!!!

My situation was unique: I am deployed overseas currently, I had got my car repainted at a local shop in Denver. I do not have any friends who are keen on the detail of paint so I sourced an auto detailer to look at the paint quality of my car. I asked scam artist Daniel Maestas how much his rate to do a full exterior and interior detail which was $125. I told him all I need him to do is go to the shop and inspect the paint quality and take photos for me, and I would pay him his full rate in return. This would have taken less than 30 minutes.

In addition, since I had issues with this shop I didn't think they would clean the interior so I offered to pay Daniel Maestas his full rate again to wipe down the interior - not even a full detail as I didn't want any solvents or products on my interior plastic pieces. I just needed it cleaned and wiped down properly. This would have been an EASY $250 job for him. Easy!!!! Easily would of taken maybe 30 minutes MAX and I mean MAX on the overall job! The biggest part was to just show up, take the photos and inspect the paint! I mentioned to Daniel Maestas that I've had trouble with this shop and really needed his help and he agreed to help me.

I explain to him in detail what I was looking for and about my situation as to why I wasn't there physically. I'm deployed overseas and expected to come home early December. I made it clear that I am a honest person and I wanted to find a honest shop and an honest person to help me out. In return, I will pay him for his time and EVEN OFFERED to give him a promised tip for helping me out in the end. $340 total (120+120+100 tip) job gave up for just $50 bucks!!! Wow.

Daniel Maestas required that I pay him a deposit via CashAPP. Which was kinda weird, but I had a unique situation and he thought I was a joke. I sent Daniel Maestas $50 USD as a deposit to show him I am a real person and to guarantee he will show up and help me out. We were scheduled to have him check out the car on Friday at 9AM. The shop on Wednesday told me she needed to push the date until Saturday but there was no guarantee it would even be done then. I asked Daniel Maestas on a Wednesday if Saturday was available he told me he was available all day, I asked if it was okay if we could move it to Saturday he agreed. I asked if I needed to cancel at any time given the inconsistency of the shop and he stopped responding. After only just reading my messages and not responding, I asked if I could just go ahead and get the refund on my deposit. He blocked me!!

I've had to register another facebook account for messenger, just to contact him and when I did, he blocked that account as well. I'm uploading proof of our correspondence. I tried to call him and left him a voicemail and I've sent him various text messages and still didn't get a response.



Seriously what a shame. I was an easy customer. $120+$120+ 100 tip, and all he had to do was show up and inspect the paint. He gave up a 30 minute job that would have provided him $340 in the end. Instead he choose to steal my deposit of $50.

I contacted my bank and explained them the situation that happened, they informed me to open a dispute and request a chargeback through them and to take screenshots of the entire conversation via messenger and text message. This was a complete fraud performance by Daniel Maestas.

I do NOT recommend him and highly recommend and suggest you STAY AWAY from this guy. Read and actually listen to the negative reviews on every platform you can find. I'm going to spread the word about my experiences on here and everywhere else to warn everyone about the shady business practice this guy has. If you do ignore any of the negative reviews and go with him, don't pay cash. So when he tries to screw you over, you can dispute his fraud activities to the bank and get your money back!!
