Move Central should be avoided. They did the standard bait and switch quote, similar to most moving companies. They took four days to load our goods, instead of one day, as quoted. This meant we were three days late on vacating our already sold home. Then, the move was completed one day after promised, despite me confirming several times the date of arrival of our goods. That made us late to move-in and made us postpone our walk-through in our new home with the realtors.

Love this story?...It gets worse. The movers showed up (a day late) and the three young men unloading their trucks reeked of marijuana, at 8:00 AM in the morning! unbelievable! Then, their lead (and stoned) employee, demanded cash or a money order for payment, althought I had been told that a credit card was acceptable. They would not unload the truck, unless I paid. I ran to the local bank and paid for cahier's checks.

They broke three items when moving/delivering, and refused to insure the items. We had been promised insurance and paid for extra insurance when we contracted Move Central.  Then they lost one 'vault' of our furniture for a month. Then they promised delivery of that 'vault' but I had to threaten legal action in order to get it delivered. When it was delivered, forty five days later!, one piece of furniture was badly damaged. Three items were missing from our move, in total.  Again, our insurance request was denied.

Summation: we were quoted a total of $9,800 for our move. It ended up costing us over $23,000.  Avoid this company at all costs!  They are crooks! Let my experience help you make a better decision than I did!
