Marc Marin and Gateway Commercial Finance GatewayCFS Fraudulent Withholding of Funds / Excessive Fees / Unscrupulous Business Practices Delray Beach FL
Marc Marin and Gateway Commercial Finance have engaged in unsrupulous and fraudulent business activities by improperly witholding funds and improperly deducting fees from loan proceeds and claiming legal and other expenses. They have also refused to return witheld funds unless we sign a full release absolving them of any wrongdoing. They are holding a $40,000 deposit to which they are not entitled, but have fabricated additional fees and expenses totalling $16,000.
Numerous professional requests have been made for return of the deposit and proof of the basis for other fees and they have refused, stating that we must sign the release to get any of our money back.
We paid over $5,500 of legitimate fees for a 25-day loan which they doubled to $10,500 of fees claiming it was not repaid in time despite the fact that it was, and we have documentation to prove it.
They have refused to provde any documentary evidence to back up their claims, and continue to impose additional fees - $10,000 to date - for responding to a request for payment letter from our attorneys.
We will also be filing complaints with the Better Business Burea and presenting the facts to criminal investigators at FDLE.
