I recieved a message from a trusted friend that they had won $150,000 and said my name was also on the winners list.  Then they asked if I had recieved my money yet.

How The Scam Artist Prepares To Rob You.  (1)They make an exact copy of a your friend’s Facebook account.  (2)They replicate all the contacts but use a different photo of the account owner.  (3)There are now two accounts under your friends name.  Your friend is clueless.  They’ve been cleverly impersonated.  They’re Victims Too.

How The Criminals Establish Great Credibility.  This is absolutely criminally ingenious.  (4)The imposter sends a message to the friends.  Remember you're a friend.  (5)The imposter asks if you’ve received your money yet.  At this point the cybercriminal is communicating to the victim as two different persons.  They are pretending to be your friend and they are pretending to be a Federal Grant Agency representative.  They got you surrounded.

(6)The imposter creates enormous credibility.  The imposter says, YOU must contact the “Federal Government Grant”.  (No such organization is authorized to provide federal grants.)  The agent has a name ... Lawrence R. Young and David Samson.  They have an address ... 8460 Humboldtb Creek Rd, Dwight, Kansas 66849.

They have a phone number ... 385-349-8516.  The phone may be a disposable phone. They have an email; [email protected]. They have a real bank account.  KS State Bank.  My bank gave me a copy of the cancelled check so I have the bank account where they deposited the money.  These are all designed to make you feel secure.   Take note ... They can change these at any time.

The cybercriminal creates a phony “Federal Government Grant Winning Certificate”.   This Is Not A Legal Government Document.   I was also able to get a copy of the “Grant Winning Certificate”.   It looks official but it's a fake.   It is totally worthless.  You don't win federal grant money.  You have to apply for federal grant money.  And I never applied for it.

I found a 2016 Better Business Bureau case (Houston, Texas) that reads exactly like this, so these guys have been around for a while.
