Refused to start airbag recall work without a $200.00 service to diagnose well existing and known car indication light! I own a 2007 slk 280 I have taken my car several times to Keenan over the past 12 years. Some of those visits I'd safely say at least 7 involved diagnosing the SRS light and fixing something in the car in and out of warranty over these years and the light just does not go out.

I was told by this dealership it's a known issue and the car has passed inspection year after year and has left the shop with the light still on all this time. Today they refused to fix my airbag until I paid $200.00 to.diagnose this same light yet again. The claim they have a handbook or guide from Mercedes that will not allow them to do this service until that is done.

I explained to Peter the service advisor to check my file for how many times I have paid and fixed something for this SRS light. I pleaded with him to do the right thing and fix the airbag recall. He's refused and would not work with me at all make any recommendations on any form of compromise. I have paid this dealership no joke 10s of thousands of dollars for repair and service and there are some things they cant fix ever.

Now what they couldn't fix is preventing me from something that could save my life. My safety has NO value to Keenan, or the corporate customer service who I raised the concern with. They just go by this policy they wont give me a copy of that says how the centers will do this recall.

Anyway... my letter for the recall clearly states that because of this recall the service center will run diagnostics on the safety components of the car and no cost unless I authorize a service. I provided that to the service advisor and nothing....you dont care.....so I reported to the NTSB and on their recommendation to the FTC and on their recommendation to the attorney general....I advised all of this and still nothing you wont even acknowledge my texts or try to work with me at all.

So I highly recommend you stay as far away from Keenan Mercedes as possible and never use them. And im posting this only because if I do die because of airbag you know who refused to help me!
