I was initially a Platinum Customer with Juno but, I decided to try Juno's Speedband (supposedly to speed up my computer). I tried it for a day and it screwed up my computer so bad I had to restore it. I called customer service on 14 April 2003, after searching for about an hour to get a number to call to talk to a human being on the line. Only after I found a number to call to cancel, I got offered free tech support.

I declined and told them I no longer wanted their service and to cancel my membership which was $119.00 paid by credit card. I told them I expected not to be charged for this and they said, no problem. On 7 May 2003, I looked at my credit card statement and there it was, a charge from Juno for $119.00. After seeing that, I was furious. I called the credit card Company and they said I should cancel the card because they can charge it anytime they want. I cancelled the card and requested a new one.

On 8 May 2003, I called again to customer service to check if they still had my credit card number on record, they did. I told them I was only using their free service and they don't need to have my credit card on file. I was told it would take two billing cycles to get the credit back to my card.

It didn't take no time for them to take my money. What is up with the lousy service at Customer Service. What happened to the saying that the customer is king? Watch out for Juno and check everybody that has your credit card on file to make internet payments.
