This is the second time Juno.com has cheated me. The first time I just absorbed the loss, assuming it was my lack of internet knowledge. When this occurred the second time, last September 2001, I realized that juno.com is willing to steal from me.

This is what happened:

On Sept. 5, 2001, I purchased a year of Juno internet service. Juno cashed my check and provided me new service. Similar to the previous year, Juno threw me a curve. My new service was going to make me pay long distance rates. As a teacher I could not afford this.

I spent two weeks sending e-mails asking for a better access number and pleading for a response from them. I got e-mails saying my new access numbers may cost long distance. After three weeks and no responses, I started calling the company. At least three calls went unanswered even with most of them ringing for over an hour on my speaker phone. Finally, I got a representative.

I told the rep. that I was angry and wanted to cancel my membership. She tried to convince me not to, but I cancelled. This was at the end of September. She told me I would receive a refund of $89.00. I had not had a moment of service, but they were going to charge me for their refusal to serve me in Sept. I said ok. She said it would take 6-8 weeks to arrive. On December 28, 2001, I sent Juno the an e-mail again asking for my refund. Still no refund.

I called and it took over an hour to have a representative answer. The rep looked up the account and said the money could not be sent because they were not sure of my address. We verified my address. They said it would be sent in a week. A gentleman even called two days later to verify the address and assured me it would be sent within the week. On Jan 9, 2002, at 5:30 p.m., I called and spoke to J... about not receiving the money. She said it was mailed and gave me the reference number #___ .

She said the check had been mailed. On February 1, 2002, I called Juno again because I had not received my refund. A rep name J... looked it up. She said that a refund for $83.00 was going to be sent to me and it would be 6-8 weeks to get to me. I told her I thought that was terrible.

I had only been waiting 4 months for money that was mine. She assured me that it was on its way. She gave me reference #---. After I hung up I realized they had diminished my refund again for no reason. They have never given me any service for the $99.95. I think I have been robbed. The last time I didn't complain. I took it. This time I am asking for a full refund and I would like for juno.com to be investigated to see if they have found they can rip off old people, like me. If anyone out there has any clout with juno.com please assist me to get my full $99.95 back.
