Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I signed up with this company a month ago and was soon contacted to do a mock jury. They contacted me once or twice a week with opportunities, but it always conflicted with work. Finally, they sent me an opportunity to do a study on a day that would work out if I rearranged my weekly work schedule.

After I was signed up to do a group on a Thursday, they then send me another opportunity for the same week. The juries were in two different locations and their clients were two different law firms. I agreed to do both. My juries were scheduled for Thursday and Friday of the same week. I thought it was a bit odd that a marketing company would do this.

On Tuesday, I got an email saying that Friday's session had been canceled due to a  participant's family emergency. Late on Tuesday afternoon, I was told that the meeting for Thursday would be done via Zoom instead of in person.

I again rearranged my schedule so I would be home for the Zoom meeting. Late on Wednesday afternoon, I got an email saying the Zoom meeting was canceled. I had arranged to take both days off of work. I figured the groups paid almost what I made in a day. Now I cannot reschedule work or go to the juries.

Now maybe these emergencies are real, but I do not think so. If a group was canceled less than 24 hours after it was scheduled, a legitimate company would pay you. They have a contract with their clients and I am sure they have a clause stating that the client must pay You Judge it if they cancel at the last minute. If You Judge it is getting its money, the participants should get theirs.

The company has no address or phone number listed on its website. They are not listed as a business with the Secretary of State of California. I am guessing that they overbook the juries and then cut whomever they would like at the last minute. That way they always have enough people to make their clients happy and it is the participant who suffers.

Please do not allow them to use people this way. If you are signed up for a jury and they cancel at the last minute, post about it here or call the State Attorney General.
