Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Company contracted with me for a 2d mortgage about 2 years ago and made due date 30th of the month. I get paid on the first and didn't want that date but they insisted that I had a grace period. They neglected to tell me anything about deferred interest, knowing they'd be making money off me every month.

December 2007 payment was "Lost in Mail". Had to stop payment ($32) and do a telephonic payment with the company. Same thing happened with January 2008 payment. They again blamed USPS. Had to drive to nearest office to drop off a re-issued check after incurring another stop payment fee with my bank.

They wanted me to pay every month over the phone with them for a $15 fee that they later waived. They wanted access to my bank account and promised to only go into it once every 30 days but refused to do a writen contract enusuring this.

February payment sent in mail. Called them to confirm and they said they got it. Later in the month they said I put a stop payment on it (I did not and the bank documented that they got the check) and the operator was rude & hung up on me. Bank documented that the company had, in fact, cleared my check the day before I called them. HSBC wanted a double payment and still has not posted the February payment.

Twice I fax'd them all documentation I had for stop payment fees and bank documentaion of payments to them. Company refused to call back to even confirm receipt of those fax's. Common courtesy and even telephone etiquette are apparently another problem with this company.

They have now again lost my March, 2008 payment and are demanding another telephonic payment and it will again cost me an additional $32 to put a stop payment on the March check.

They are now threatening to mess up my credit due to this game they are playing because I continue to pay by mail instead of giving them access to my bank account.

Research on the internet shows that they have been doing this same thing to customers for a few years now; as far back as November, 2004. Company deliberately recycles mail so as to get deferred interest each month. They have record of scaming their customers who make payments by mail for ill gotten gains. They do it through subsidiary companies like Best Buy, Saks, Rainsoft, and Kowasaki.

Another scam involves the involuntary issuance of a credit card once they have your bank account and how they go into that account to directly steel funds from their clients.

They admitted to nothing in one case but paid out 11 Million in settling allegations of credit card abuse perpetrated in this way as well as other scams once they had a client's bank account. To read more go to the web links provided below.

I am interested in a class action suit against them and for the authorities to put them out of business. Any posts you can provide on this site will help. If you have been stung by these predators yourself then we all must band together and take action. Please reply to this posting!
