HOAV Metalworks James Romero Took deposits for 2 flatbeds in December of 2022 to be completed by April 2023 Arlington Nebraska
In December of 2022, we contacted James Romero at HOAV Metalworks about ordering some flatbeds for our work pickups. He sent us an invoice requesting a 50% deposit, which we sent. He assured us that he would have them done by April. Months went by and excuses for the delays kept being given to us.
Finally in early April, I was told my flatbed was built and just needed to be painted and then I could pick the first one up and the other would be done shortly. I asked him to call when it was painted and I would come pick it up the next week. He said that wouldn't be a problem.
Since then, he has not answered his phone or responded to text messages. Even the number I had that I was told belonged to his wife isn't answered. We've left voice messages asking for our deposits back and no responses. The total we are missing is around $4,000 combined for the 2 flatbeds. Since then, we have learned that several people have had the same experiences and problems.
