Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I ordered a Whirlpool Double Wall Oven 9½ months ago on Nov 8, 2020 and have NOT received it yet!!! Goedeker's has changed the shipping date over 10 times !! When you call Goedeker's, you have 2 choices - sales or customer service. You can get through to sales quickly & they will take your money quickly but if you want updated information about your order, you must speak to customer service and I have personally been placed on hold for 2 hours once and 1½ hours another time !!

Their excuse for the 9½ month delay and for holding onto my money as an interest free loan for nearly a year - they BLAME Whirlpool !! They take NO RESPONSIBILITY for OVERSELLING items that they do NOT have in Stock!

Right now the same Whirpool Double Wall Oven (Model # WOD51EC7HS) would cost me $2,340. When I ordered the oven on November 8, 2020, I paid Goedeker's $1,794 so if they want to refund my money, I would ONLY accept the current value of the oven ($2,340 on the date of this Report) so I could buy the same oven elsewhere.

Avoid Goedeker's like the Plague !!!

#2Consumer Suggestion

Sat, September 11, 2021

I have read your report and completely understand your frustration. However, what many consumers fail to recognize is the world we now live in, is not the same as it was pre-Covid. The retailer you are upset about regading the wall oven has absolutely zero control over how Whirlpool manufactures and ships. They also are not changing any dates. That is Whirlpool that changes them.

Appliance Retailers have the ability to see current stock and ETA dates on all items, however these change all the time for many reasons. Since Covid the supply chain for items needed to physically build your oven or any appliance has been disrupted on a scale you may not understand. In order to build your oven they need to aquire the metal, the control boards, the sensory items, the plastics and the cardboard to box it. Whirpool, like every manufacturer, has to get these items from somebody.

It does not grow from the ground and they surely do not have a guy building control boards. The boards come from China, the cardboard probably from Malaysia, the metal/plastic from Mexico. Also what you purchased will make a difference on when it gets produced. You purchased a 27" single wall oven, not a extremely rare, BUT, not enough are sold in a year for Whirlpool to concentrate its efforts on building it. This goes for GE, Electrolux, LG, Samsung and all other companies.

Right now the production for appliances is about the masses, anything odd sized is being pushed back. SO before you go blaming somebody for something they have no control over you may want to think rationally first. Also i do not work for Goedeckers, however i am in the appliance industry and have been for over 20 years working for a company that does $250 million + in annual sales, and just for fun i looked into the model you ordered. We have sold 6 in the last 18 months, of the 6 ordered only 1 has yet to arrive on our dock.  I am just trying to give people a sense of what we are, and have been dealing with for the last 18 months
